Shipping policy
Non-Subscription Orders
Non-subscription orders are processed in seven business days, excluding weekends, postal closures, and major U.S. holidays, and shipped according to the shipping speed selected at checkout.
Need it faster? If you have a last-minute rush gift order that needs faster processing, please specify this in the checkout order notes and select express shipping. We will do our best to process it as quickly as possible prior to shipping in accordance with the shipping speed you selected at checkout.
Subscription Orders
Subscriptions ship in two batches per month. Batch #1 begins processing around the 5th of the month. Batch #2 around the 20th. Shipments process in about 7 business days, excluding weekends, postal closures, and major U.S. holidays.
The cut-off date for subscription orders is the 5th and 20th of the month. If your order comes in on or after those dates, your crate will ship in the next batch.
Tracking is provided for all orders, and we ship in discreet boxes with standard labels.
We ship throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia.
Mixed Orders
Though we do allow the simultaneous purchase of both non-subscription and subscription items in one order/bundle/shipping fee, this means your bundle will ship according to our subscription shipping schedule.
Members
Members do not receive special shipping speeds. Members receive shipping based on the shipping speed they paid for at checkout.
Members do receive priority processing. Priority processing means that members' orders are fulfilled in a timely, first-priority manner, while still adhering to our shipping schedule.
Fulfillment
When a book box or merchandise order is marked fulfilled, it means the order has been processed and is preparing to ship, but it might not have a tracking number yet. As soon as a tracking number is generated, it will be sent via email. Sometimes, there is a delay between fulfillment and the tracking number being sent once the US Postal Service has picked up the package.
When a Membership order has been marked fulfilled, this means that your membership has been activated and you may now enjoy all member's access and benefits, including jumping the waitlist on waitlisted subscription boxes. After signing up for waitlist, you will receive an activation email (after purchasing membership).
Delivery
We are not liable for shipping and delivery delays. All delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, or events outside our control. Once we transfer products to the carrier, title and risk of loss passes to you.
Delivery will be considered complete when our authorized courier delivers your product to the shipping address you provided during your order process. Dark Romance Crates' obligation to deliver the box or parcel shall be fulfilled once the courier delivers the box/parcel at the shipping location or a nearby location considered safe by the courier.
Dark Romance Crates will not be responsible for parcels beyond the point of delivery fulfillment, nor stolen items, nor items that are delivered to an "old address" that were input by the customer at the time of checkout. The shipping address input at checkout is entirely up to the customer, and this is the address that the book box will be shipped to.
Once the delivery is completed, according to the proof of delivery provided (i.e. tracking delivery confirmed by our authorized courier, signed for by customer, left in a safe spot as specified by the customer or considered safe by authorized courier company, or delivered to a neighbor or nearby business if no leave safe is provided or available) the risk of any damage or loss of the box will be with the customer. Dark Romance Crates shall not be held liable for any damage, defect, or loss which may occur thereafter.

1 - Confirm Shipping Address in Your Orders
- Verify if your shipping address in your account is correct. If you address is incorrect, please update your address. If you have trouble, please email info@darkromancecrates.com
2 - Search for a notice of delivery attempt
- Check the Tracking history for your order
- Search for a delivery confirmation in your order history
- Check your mailbox or wherever else you receive mail
- Search for a delivery photo
3 - Check around the delivery location
4 - Ask your household members and neighbors
- Check if someone else accepted the delivery.
5 - Wait 48 hours for the package to be delivered
- Packages may be scanned as delivered before arrival.

Lost or Severely Damaged Orders
For orders severely damaged in transit on the part of our authorized courier service, Dark Romance Crates may provide a replacement only after a claim is filed. If you do not receive your order within 30 days of the last tracking update, please contact us. If we are contacted later than 30 days after the last tracking update and the order has not been received, we will not be able to provide a replacement or refund.
Shipping Locations
We do not ship to countries in the EU. We do ship to the UK, Australia, Canada, Norway, Greenland, and throughout the U.S. including outlying islands.
